Is there an age requirement?
There is no minimum age requirement for participating.

When does registration open and close?
In-person race registration will open in August and will close Friday, September 23, 2022, at noon CDT or until registration reaches full capacity. Virtual registration will close Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. CDT.

Is there a fundraising minimum?
No, runners are not required to set up a personal fundraising page to participate in Cubs Charities Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run, however, personal fundraising can make a significant impact in the lives of oncology patients.

May I register someone else for the race?
Yes, parents and legal guardians can register their child(ren) for the race. However, you must complete registration online prior to registration close Friday, September 23, 2022, at noon CDT or before registration reaches full capacity.

How do I pick up my shirt & bib?
Runners can pick up their race packet, which includes their T-shirt and bib, at Packet Pickup locations. Virtual runners will receive their race packet in the mail prior to race week.

Where do runners get their timing device?

Only in-person participants will be chipped timed and will receive their bib at packet pickup. Virtual runners can track their time on their personal tracking app or smart device.

Do runners have to participate in teams and race together?
No, team participants can race individually even if they fundraise as a team.

How can I find a runner's personal fundraising webpage?

Click on Fundraising in the main menu and this will take you to the event fundraising page where you can search for the team or individual you are looking for. After you reach the runner's fundraising page, you can make a donation!

How do I get my ticket to the September 27 game against the Philadelphia Phillies?

If you were one of the first 5,000 in-person runners to register you are qualified to receive a ticket to the September 27 game against the Philadelphia Phillies. You will receive your ticket via the MLB Ballpark app by September 26, 2022.

  • Do I need to use the MLB Ballpark app, how do I use it?
    • You must download the MLB Ballpark app in order to receive your ticket. More information can be found HERE
  • When do I need to download the MLB Ballpark app by?
    • You should download the MLB Ballpark app by September 24.
  • Does the email in the MLB Ballpark app have to match the email used for the registration?
    • Yes, the email used for registration must match the email in the MLB Ballpark app. If you are unsure of what email you used, you can confirm by logging into your EnMotive account then click on view user details.
  • What if I already have the MLB Ballpark app and it's under a different name/account/email, etc?
    • More information can be found HERE.
  • What about my kids. Will their ticket also come to my MLB Ballpark app?
    • Please utilize the email associated with the registration to receive tickets.
  • What if I can't make it to that game?
    • Unfortunately this is a one game offer.
  • I'm doing virtual but the rest of my family is doing in-person. I'll be in-town for the game. Can I get a ticket?
    • This is only a runner benefit for our in-person runners. If you'd like to purchase a ticket, you can do so by visiting www.cubs.com/tickets.
  • How do I get a ticket for my friend to sit next to me? 
    • You can purchase an extra ticket at www.cubs.com/tickets and then, once in the ballpark on the day of the game, visit the ticket exchange window next to Fan Services and exchange for tickets together.
