Race Day - April 27, 2019

Race to Wrigley is seeking energetic volunteers to assist with the packet pickup and race day events. Volunteers provide key support to the thousands of participants as they run, celebrate and support Cubs Charities' Diamond Project, which aims to expand baseball and softball opportunities for all Chicago children and youth by engaging kids with skilled coaches, quality programming and providing safe and accessible places to play the game. With a variety of exciting positions available, there is a job for everyone.

The volunteer registration page shows all available volunteer shifts. For questions, please contact

Individual Registration:

We need volunteers to commit to the entire shift. Please make sure you are available from the start to finish of desired positions (typically four to six hours)! Volunteers must be 14 years or older. If you are interested in working beside a friend, please register for the same volunteer area. As a thank you for volunteering, volunteers will receive specific volunteer gear. The volunteer assignment email will be sent 10 days before the race and will include all logistical specifics (parking, description of position, etc.) Your flexibility is greatly appreciated as we ensure all participants and volunteers have an enjoyable experience!

Group Registration:

Group volunteer opportunities are great for schools, clubs, sport teams, fraternities, sororities, etc. To be considered as a volunteer group, your organization must be able to provide 15 or more volunteers and submit the above group registration form to reserve a spot. We are happy to provide either a donation or verification of community service hours in return. One chaperone is required for every 10 volunteers under the age of 18 years old to ensure sufficient supervision. Please be thoughtful on the number of volunteers your group will be able to supply as we rely on your anticipated number to ensure coverage and full support for our participants. Completed registration forms should be returned to by Friday, April 5, 2019
